Best Sunset of the Year ?

Fall Camping in Leavenworth

In mid-September, Dad and Henry went camping in Leavenworth (Mom and Jack were supposed to go as well, but Jack was a bit under the weather).

It was a really nice trip. The scenery was amazing- we did a hike along the Icicle River and found a great campsite right at a bend in the river - very private with a great view. It was a crisp and cool night, and we had a nice campfire and, of course, s'mores.

On the way back home on Sunday, we stopped at Stevens Pass, one of our favorite skiing spots in the winter, for a round of Disc Golf. We took the lift up to the top of the mountain, and wound our way down the course. 18 holes - a lot of fun.

We'll be here with lots of snow in a few more months !

Virginia at Oregon

In early September we traveled down to the University of Oregon in Eugene to see the Cavaliers face the Ducks in football. As expected, the heavily favored Ducks prevailed, 44-26. We got to catch up with the Frisbies, who traveled up from the Bay Area, and had good lunch at Hop Valley Brewery. We also walked around the campus before heading to the game. All of the Oregonians were very friendly and thanked us for visiting.
