Joseph Graduates College!

A Graduation Day unlike any other!

Joseph, home from college for the past five weeks for Covid, watched several videos from Ann Arbor and had a leisurely rainy Saturday afternoon in Seattle.

We did get Olive Garden takeout for dinner, and a cake afterwards, in a modestly decorated Dining Room. Then we all played Carcassone and allowed Joseph to win. Mom and Dad had allowed Joseph to win at Scrabble earlier in the day.

Hike from Summit-to-Somerset

Eager to get some hiking in, but asked to stay away from trailheads and walk around our neighborhood, we decided to hike from the first house we lived at in Seattle to our current house. It was a 3.05 mile hike, largely on neighborhood trails with a few stretches along streets. Joseph had gone online to map out the hike, and he, MJ, and I completed it on a Sunday afternoon.

Big Bocce Outing !

Still under 'shelter at home' orders, on Easter we took a big outing down the hill to Tyee to play bocce! We played two rounds, with Joseph & Henry defeating Jack & Dad in the first game, and then Joseph & Jack defeating Mom & Henry in the second round.

Big Excitement - Hailstorm !!

With all of us stuck at home, the big excitement of the week was a 5-minute hailstorm. The previous day there was a large rainbow that looked to be ending in our neighbor's yard. (We would have asked them to allow us to search for the pot of gold, but social distancing requirements forbid us from doing that!)
